The Education Bureau supports and encourages schools to adopt healthy school policy. To echo the endeavour, the Department of Health has organized an annual Principal Summit since 2007 which aims to provide a platform for schools to share and exchange their experiences on the promotion of healthy eating in schools in short and medium term.

This year's Principal Summit presented Awards to schools which have achieved accreditation in the 2011-2012 school year. The theme of the summit this year is "Heart Matters". Two keynote speakers, Prof. Alice KONG (Associate Professor of Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, CUHK) and Dr Sandra TSANG (Head of Department of Social Work and Social Administration, HKU) talked about intricate relationship between psychology, eating behavior, obesity and heart health.

Prof. Alice KONG, Dr Sandra TSANG, representatives from committee on home-school co-operation, primary school principals associations, DH, EDB and all the audiences are participated in the panel discussion with enthusiastic response.
