The “EatSmart@school.hk" (ESS) Campaign” jointly organised by the Department of Health (DH) and the Education Bureau (EDB), together with the “EatSmart School Accreditation Scheme” (ESAS) which was launched under the Campaign, have gained support from the education sector over the years to create an environment conducive to healthy eating, in order to promote the healthy growth of school children.

The “10th Anniversary of the EatSmart@school.hk Campaign cum EatSmart School Accreditation Ceremony 2016” was held to mark the 10th anniversary of the “EatSmart@school.hk” Campaign, and to recognise the schools which have achieved accreditation in this school year.

This year, for the first time, there were schools achieving the “EatSmart School” status for the third time consecutively. They were presented with the “Award for Continuous Promotion of Healthy Eating at School”. Representatives from these schools were also invited to share their experience in promoting healthy eating over the years.
