The "EatSmart@school.hk" (ESS) Campaign jointly organised by the Department of Health (DH) and the Education Bureau (EDB), together with the "EatSmart School Accreditation Scheme" (ESAS) which was launched under the Campaign, have gained support from the education sector over the years to create an environment conducive to healthy eating, in order to promote the healthy growth of school children.
DH and EDB organised the "EatSmart School Accreditation Ceremony 2019" on 2 July 2019 to present awards to schools which have achieved accreditation in the school year 2018/19, and the "Award for Continuous Promotion of Healthy Eating at School" to sixteen schools achieving the "EatSmart School" status for the third time consecutively.
The theme of this year's Healthy Eating Sharing Session was "dietary fibre". Senior dietitian from DH and the master of ceremony conducted an exciting Q&A session with the participants, sharing healthy eating knowledge with them in an interactive way.
