“A Sufficient Intake of Fruit and Vegetables” Colouring Competition 2026, aimed at encouraging all kindergartens/child care centres and primary schools in Hong Kong to put a sufficient intake of fruit and vegetables into practice.
Purpose
To raise students’ awareness towards a sufficient intake of fruit and vegetables as well as healthy eating, and to encourage them to take action.

Entrants should choose the theme of “A Sufficient Intake of Fruit and Vegetables”
Eligibility
Students of all kindergartens/child care centres and primary schools in Hong Kong
Details of Application and Submission of Entries
Each student can submit one entry only (those submitting multiple entries will be disqualified).
Students shall participate individually and get nominated by the school.
Each kindergarten and child care centre may submit up to five entries to the DH for adjudication.
Each primary school may submit up to ten entries [including up to five entries for the Junior Primary Category (P1-P3) and up to five entries for the Senior Primary Category (P4-P6)] to the DH for adjudication.
The school should submit the school nomination form along with the scanned entries (in pdf files) to the “Joyful Fruit & Veg Month” Secretariat by email (joyfulfruitnvegmonth@dh.gov.hk) and indicate “The Department of Health ‘Joyful Fruit &Veg Month’ Colouring Competition 2026” in the subject of the email.
Late submissions will not be accepted.

Entry Requirements
The entrants may use any drawing techniques and colouring materials. They may also feel free to draw any patterns on the template with their creativity.
The entries shall be hand-painted. Those involving any form of digital painting will not be accepted.
Adjudication
The adjudicating panel comprises representatives from the DH, the “EatSmart@school.hk” Campaign Steering Committee and the “Joyful Fruit & Veg Month” Working Group. Winning entries shall be selected based on the following criteria: overall creativity (30%); use of colours and skills (70%).
The result of the Competition will be announced in March 2026. The schools to whom the winners belong will be notified by email and phone. All winning entries will be uploaded to the competition website for public viewing.
