Along known as sugar snap pea or snap bean. Sweet peas are a variety of garden peas. They are plump with big seeds. Crispy and sweet, both the pods and the seeds are edible.

Buying and Cooking Tips
The best sweet peas should have fresh and vibrant green stems, upright and intact pods, and green, plump and evenly-sized seeds. With a crispy texture, sweet peas can be consumed along with the pods after being cooked. Sweet peas are mainly suitable for stir-frying, while they can also be used for making salads after being cooked. Note: Beans should not be consumed raw. They must be thoroughly cooked to remove the natural toxins, thereby reducing the risk of food poisoning and gastrointestinal discomfort.

As sweet peas are a variety derived from garden peas and sugar peas, they carries the characteristics of the both in terms of appearance and taste, that is, the sweetness of garden peas and the crispiness of sugar peas. However, beans can easily cause bloating and gastrointestinal discomfort. Therefore, individuals with weaker digestive functions are not recommended to consume too many beans at once.
